Urban Wildlife Oasis

This beautiful backyard includes a new three-level deck with garden viewing platform, vegetable/herb garden, and a small waterfall with pond. The water garden creates “white noise,” softening the sounds of the city, while the small pebbled beach allows birds to easily drink and bathe. The sunny areas and rain garden are designed especially for pollinators. In shady areas, woodland wildflowers and ferns replaced the previous thin bluegrass lawn, enhancing the restoration of the lower oak woods with habitat for a myriad of birds.
